The Dotto Train runs around the town from 10am to 5pm some weekends and summer holidays no timetable as it depends on how long it takes to go through the high street, starting at Hillsborough Car Park down Portland Street, through High Street, Church Street, Wilder Road, St James Place to The Pier and returning via The Cove back to Hillsborough.
While the children play safely in our grounds adults can either join in or sit back and enjoy the stunning views. Indoor and outdoor seating, fully licensed cafe & bar offering great home cooked food, sunset restaurant menu (booking required) full licensed. Local independently funded museum established 1932. Overflowing with curiosities and memorabilia, this historic building houses unimaginable finds from a shrunken head to pickled bats! Interests for all ages, insect and butterfly collections, natural history, local maritime and railway exhibitions, Victorian costume, extensive local photograph archive, parish and local history records including newspaper archives from 19th century on. Brass rubbing and gift shop. Activities for children, objects to handle. Children go free.
A really wonderful 11th Century Manor, is fast gaining a reputation as one of ‘BRITAINS MOST HAUNTED HOUSES’. Set in a secluded valley, the Manor was first recorded in the Doomsday Book and contains eight rooms of period furniture from Elizabethan to Victorian eras, Including a Priest Hole, barrel ceiling and the infamous Haunted Room. There are over four acres of beautiful gardens for you to enjoy. The popular Tearoom offers morning coffee – light lunches and cream teas.
Dating back to 1321 the chapel was built as a place of worship for the people of Ilfracombe living and working around the harbour. From the middle ages the chapel maintained a light to guide shipping into the harbour. It is still a working lighthouse and is the oldest in England. The chapel is maintained by Ilfracombe Rotary Club. Open from Easter to the end of October.

Our trips range from a 1 hour. Private Hire of our ribs is available – our vessels are coded for 12 people plus 2 crew.

Hampshire Rose is a 37 foot Rother class Lifeboat. She was in service for the RNLI at Walmer in Kent from 1975 to 1990.She is now in private ownership in Ilfracombe, North Devon and is currently available for sightseeing trips and charters. Also special occasions and even film work.
