For self referrals please call our helpline on 0345 155 1074. For agency referrals we ask for a referral form and DASH risk assessment to be emailed or faxed to us. We do not accept referrals by post. We have separate referral forms for children and young people and for adults. You can request both forms including contact details from our helpdesk.

Splitz is an independent charity operating in the southwest of England. Since 1989 we been supporting vulnerable individuals and families, who have been affected by separation, divorce or domestic abuse and associated challenges.

Splitz is not just about domestic abuse. We deliver a range of services for families and individuals who are parenting alone, experiencing difficulties maintaining independent living, as well as those affected by domestic abuse.

Discplus is Devon’s family information service for children with additional needs and their families offer: Social work. Occupational Therapy. Learning disability nursing. Portage. Children nursing Physiotherapists employed by Vranch House …

Discplus is Devon’s family information service for children with additional needs and their families offer:

  • Social work.
  • Occupational Therapy.
  • Learning disability nursing.
  • Portage.
  • Children nursing
  • Physiotherapists employed by Vranch House (a voluntary organisation) work in partnership with the further response teams.
  • Direct payments staff.
  • DISCplus information officers work closely with further response teams providing families with information geared to the needs of their child.
  • Rehabilitation Officer for Visually Impaired Children (ROVIC).

The teams provide a seamless service around the needs of families who have children with disability or complex additional needs. The teams assess the need and administrate financial support, in the form of personalised budgets and / or direct payments, as well as providing a key worker for those families who need a co-ordinating worker.

 

Domestic Help at Home

Jan Stoneham – Local and experienced worker. Offers all types of help at home including cleaning, laundry, ironing, shopping, light gardening, meal preparation and cooking. Costs are £10 per hour.

Food Vouchers – Food Bank

Come to the Ilfracombe Centre, 44 High Street and speak to the North Devon Council representative to request food vouchers (Mon- Fri 9.00am – 12 noon and 2pm – 5pm) or you can also request food vouchers from Transform4Work at the Candar, Tuesdays and Fridays 10am – 1pm.

These can be redeemed at the Food Bank at the Salvation Army, Torrs Park, Ilfracombe to receive a food parcel on Tuesdays and Fridays 10.30am to 1.30pm.

Food banks are also available in Barnstaple and South Molton.

  • Help to understand the new SEND reforms
  • Help with gathering information to include in an EHC plan
  • Face-to-face and telephone/email support
  • A friendly face and listening ear
  • Straightforward explanations
  • Help to find the answers
