North Devon Children’s Centres

All the centres offer a variety of drop-in activities to encourage early play and learning. These include stay and play, singing and story time sessions. The drop in groups run on a first come, first serve basis and are free of charge. Parents and carers with a baby or child under 5 years, including dads, grandparents and childminders are all welcome.

Parents and carers can also access a range of other useful services from the centres, including health and parenting advice, adult learning opportunities and help to get back into training and employment.

SCOPE Northern Devon Face to Face

Northern Devon Face 2 Face is a free and confidential service, provided by trained parent befrienders, who themselves have experience of parenting a disabled child or child with an additional need. Befrienders provide emotional support to other parents at the time of diagnosis or at times of change or difficulty. They also provide information on services and resources that might assist the parents they are befriending.
