Do you need an extra pair of hands around the home and garden, or lead a busy life and need help to fit the jobs in, or just would like some company?
Carly Cares offers ‘one off’ or ‘on-going’ help and support including:
Cleaning, vacuuming, washing, ironing, changing the bed, preparing meals, gardening, shopping, transport, providing company, taking a walk, going for a swim, trip to the beach, walking your dog and many more.
This is a ‘paid for’ service. Free personal home visits are available to talk about anything that you need and you are under no obligation to use the service. Many people are entitled to assistance with the cost of their care, Carly Cares can advise you on the best options open to you.

One Ilfracombe transport scheme to non-local medical appointments.

Journeys are charged at 45p per mile plus an administration fee of £2.50 per booking.

Ilfracombe & District Community Minibuses

  • Door to door service to Tesco’s, Barnstaple and the town centre every Friday AM
  • Service to Sainsburys, Barnstaple on alternate Thursdays AM
  • Ring and Ride into Ilfracombe door to door runs alternate Wednesday afternoons £2.50 return
  • Half day and Full day social trips to Lynton on alternate Thursdays
  • Ring and ride from home into Barnstaple is £4 return
  • Other charges are based on mileage at £1.50 per mile
  • Self-drive hire at £70 a day and £40 for half day plus replacing the diesel used

 

 

 

NDVS

North Devon Voluntary Services support voluntary, community and social enterprise type groups across North Devon. Local projects include:

  • Befriending
  • Shopping
  • Gardening
  • Dog walking
  • Wheel chair escorts
  • Transport

 

 

North Devon Car Scheme

Providing door to door lifts to eligible passengers to help them live normal lives. EG to the hospital, doctors, shopping, visiting friends etc.
People who use the service have:

  • no access to suitable transport
  • a temporary or permanent disability
  • find it difficult to access public transport

Passenger payments reimburse expenses only.
Telephone lines are open:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10am – 1pm; Friday 10am – 12noon
