Through drama and the arts, Wolf and Water work with people with learning difficulties, mental health, conflict situations, offenders, young people at risk, grief, bereavement, life threatening illnesses.
Woolacombe Riding Stables nestles in the valley of Woolacombe. They are a British Horse Society and Pony Club approved equestrian centre. They enjoy teaching and introducing adults and children to the joys of horse riding. All pupils are encouraged to complete their Pony Club and British Horse Society achievement certificates in stable management and horse riding.
The stables are situated at Eastacott Farm and visitors can ride over 200 acres of countryside as well as additional rides across the sand dunes at Woolacombe and over the 3 mile long stretch of golden sandy beach.
The aims of the club are to raise awareness of dangers present on the beach and in the sea and to teach beach and sea safety along with lifesaving skills. In the winter months the club meets regularly in the swimming pool to maintain fitness where again, training has an emphasis on lifesaving. The club provides the opportunity to obtain surf lifesaving qualifications at all levels.
Y-Sail is aimed at getting young kids who are based in and around the Ilfracombe area out on to the water. If you are keen to sail or even if you are just wishing to have ago then Y-Sail have fantastic facilities within Ilfracombe where you can learn to sail in toppers, pico’s and a laser 13.
