Monday & Tuesday, 10 – 1:30pm

 

Civil Legal Advice

Free help for problems including:

  • Debt, if your home is at risk
  • Special educational needs
  • Housing
  • Discrimination
  • Domestic violence issues around a child being taken into care

Opening Times: Monday – Friday 9am – 8pm; Saturday 9.30am – 12:30pm

Dementia Carers

A refuge run solely by fellow carers and volunteers for those who find themselves caring for a loved one suffering from dementia in any form. The message board lets us exchange ideas and experiences. We can help each other!

 

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue

Fire officers at Ilfracombe Fire Station can offer residents in Ilfracombe a FREE home safety check if they are:

  • Living alone
  • Over 40 years old
  • If you are a smoker
  • If you have any children living in the property up to the age of 16
  • If anyone in the household has a disability

The home safety checks can also include free fitting of equipment to ensure you home is fully protected.
Open: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5pm

Devon Carers is an information, support and short breaks service run by eight organisations working together to improve the quality of services for all carers in Devon.

  • Training to help you care
  • An alert card to ensure the person you care for gets help if something unexpected happens to you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Respite activities for young carers
  • Welfare benefit checks
  • Health and wellbeing checks to check your health, stress levels and mental wellbeing and discuss how you could be supported in your caring role

 Helpline is open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm & Saturday 9am -1pm
