Members of the Old Gits Club have broken out the paints and brushes again in their crusade to keep Ilfracombe looking fresh and tidy.
This time their efforts were focused on brightening up a bus stop on Wilder Road (under the watchful eye of a local Bat Man!) with the before and after pictures bearing testimony to the improved shelter. Well done guys!
The Old Gits Club is a club that was formed by Rod Donovan (Councillor and Old Git) for retired people who can spare a few hours to help the town look better. The group undertakes small tasks such as paining railings, bollards, clearing drains, repairing public seating and anything else to make Ilfracombe look better.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Old Gits Club please pop into the Ilfracombe Centre or give us a call on 01271 855 300 for more details.
